It might not be the flashiest piece of equipment, but a war like ours won't be won without the truth.

It all starts here...
The breastplate has always been a standard piece of military equipment because the enemy's strategy has always been so predictable: Aim for the chest. Injuring an arm or a leg can be painful, but a wounded heart can be mortal.

The devil knows that. It's why he targets the vitals. 
Wearing the right shoes is vital for preventing injury, providing comfort, and ensuring efficiency in a variety of professions. In some cases, proper footwear can be the difference between success and failure.

That's why Roman soldiers always fought in their sandals. 
No matter how big or how heavy it might be, a shield can never stop you from being attacked.
It's only meant to save your life & protect your comrades when it happens.

That's why the people around you appreciate when you hold it up, regardless of how tired your arms get.
When a Roman citizen became a soldier, they were always given a helmet, and it was clearly understood why:
They were going to take blows to the head.
One strike of the enemy's sword could be fatal.
That's why a Roman soldier would never even think about losing their helmet.  
Swords are neat. Nobody would argue about that.
They can be used as household decor, Halloween accessories, and even play-toys for children.
But using a sword for its intended purpose can be a real challenge.
Some soldiers are just too afraid to kill.  

Although a radio doesn't technically classify as "armor", clear communication is essential on the field of battle.

All the weaponry in the world can't protect a prayerless Christian from the devastating results of a prayerless life.
