Once upon a time, there was a small church in a faraway valley. The little flock there was being hounded by all kinds of false teachers & heretics. The concern became so great that their shepherd travelled over 1,000 miles to find the only man he could count on for help. This book is a record of what came from that meeting...   

"Does God have a will for my life? If so, what is it, and how do I find it?"

These are common questions God knew we would ask.
That's why He provided the answer nearly 2,000 years ago. 

How will you be remembered after you die? Did you live a good life?
And how would we know? What constitutes a "good life" anyway?

It's time to take a look at the way you're living...and consider the results. 

"Giving thanks" is appropriate when somebody does you a favor, but what the Lord has done for us is no mere "favor".
If we could fully comprehend all that God has given us in Christ, we'd probably carry on a bit longer in our prayers. 

We all know that Jesus was a carpenter...but was that all?
It's safe to assume that He could build tables...but is that it?

Jesus was a man, that's obvious. But is there more to Him than that? 

Okay, okay...we get it...
Christ Jesus is a big deal.

But is He really as important as some people make Him out to be? 

The desire to make friends with your enemies is beyond human instinct.
But God was no mere man. 

When it comes to reconciliation, He spares no expense.

What's the secret to experiencing real joy, living a productive life, and developing a successful ministry? Is it having the right skillset, or using good advertising, or demonstrating personal charm?    Nope...
The Apostle Paul says it all comes down to who you know...

You can spend your life pursuing material wealth, or pursuing spiritual riches,
but you can't do both. What good would it do you anyway, if you were to gain the whole world, yet lose your very soul? 

If you were to cross the ocean, but could only bring one item with you, I would strongly recommend a boat. Likewise, as you sail through the seas of life, there's nothing you need more than Christ.
If you are in Him, that's enough.
